May 2025
The canvases have arrived, still wrapped in cardboard and plastic as I wander google earth to retrace our journey from Namibia to Cape Town. The remembered roads. Vistas, space and the sheer expanse of being present within that everchanging landscape. My eyes ravished each curve in the road as the colours rushed by... into me and through me.
It is early morning, just after midnight. But there is neither light nor power to paint by... and my journey begins online. So deep my gratitude for the art commissions and sales from Doringbos that has made the opportunity for a new collection possible.
I think that as artists, our work is never done. Each sale, an opportunity to paint more :)
But here where I am, waiting for sun... the works begin in scratches and sketches.
Deep my delight, as I enter this new phase of work.

A 3-day celebration of Love
The hours beneath the tree, where I painted this beauty. It felt like prayer for a blessed life together.
Upcoming Exhibition Works in Progress - 7 September 2025
I am a peregrine soul soaring, the lands beneath my wings and the skies above. I can go where there are no roads at the click of my mouse. Absorbing the beauty. From this vantage point, I can imagine what the lands were before humanity. Although, I rather love the patterns of fields from above, the river roads.

'The work of memory collapses time' Walter Benjamin
I am taking my time on this first memoryscape - reworking and wandering with the brush, not quite knowing the destination. The lands are not speaking to me yet. Perhaps it is that my head is full and my heart constricted. I must open myself up- collapse time. 'Evocation' meaning - the act of bringing or recalling a feeling, memory, or image to the conscious mind.
